There is no falsehood
to be found within a fire
-neither is there deceit
clutched in the beaks of eagles
One is too busy in its roar
The other, too focused on its soar
That is not murder in the eyes of the owl
as it targets its prey
-neither is it anger that causes the wind
to chase the clouds away
As for humans?
…sigh!….we’ll speak of them another day

Modern Humans are indeed (sadly) outside (possibly even in opposition to) Nature. Well said.

Sometimes one wonders about human beings…we definitely are not an exemplary species in WAY too many ways! Perhaps if we wait until ‘another day’ a decade or two in the future we will change. I live in hope.

So true. I felt the California fires as I read. And I don’t know how some people can live with themselves.

We cannot speak of moral with beasts, which is why only humans make murder

I also love your poem Mother and the idea of flooding new seasons! Mightier is lovely like the butterfly and it’s beauty that needs no shield. So glad you joined us double fold at the Muse!

A wry poem for a world of human thought that says if I do it, it must be my nature.

Nature has it’s own way, but humans have planned agendas. Let save that for another day.

You described the juxtaposition of nature and humans well. Sometimes I think animals are more worthy than us.
