Standing on the shores of uncertainty
between the Red Sea of impossibility
and the raucous shouts of an approaching enemy
who had long since dispensed with their pretense of angelic niceties
A moment when hope appeared to have turned tail
as the guard rails of life fell away
The enemy closed in
running full tilt
assured of their bounty
When suddenly…. power arrived
-assuring the Red Sea that it could part without breaking
while infusing our legs and our hearts with courage
The sea shrank away from us – held back by nothing but God’s breath
as we ran for our lives
…yet were filled with awe
as His glory carried us through
the sea we once dubbed ‘impossibility’

Amazing, isn’t it, what can happen when we trust God’s power rather than our own? Merry Christmas!

….and all too often we forget to consider His power, let go and let God. Blessings on you and yours this holiday season!
