I watched the wind today
…it swished past me
raking its fingers through my hair
while parting trees
and lifting leaves
I watched the wind today
as it danced past me
..tickling my feet
while whispering loudly in my ear
I watched the wind today
…it was a wonderful sight to see

Would be nice to stand arms stretched and actually feel the wind!

Yes terrific Vivian – vivid enough not just to be a literary but a physical pleasure too – could feel that breeze between my toes, as I read…

It’ll be nice when I can feel moved to write about moving air by using words like “breeze” instead of “wind-chill”. Soon, I’m hoping.

The wind as fingers through hair is a lovely image. It made me turn my face up and want to feel the breeze!

Beautiful poem Vivian. When younger I lived in England and loved walking in the countryside and having the wind come to say hello when walking on a hill top.

I closed my eyes and watched and felt what the speaker did. I love when Nature blesses us, in soul and flesh. This is lovely, Vivian.

This was my day (although with a lack of hair) on Sunday. The wind bending the branches and kicking up the drying leaves that were once packed under snow.

There is something beautiful about the wind bending the branches on and tree and making them dancing back and forth. Thanks for helping me remember that with your poem.
