Lunch hour at work. Just enough time to pen a poem. In reality, I’ve been ruminating on this one since yesterday and I’m no-where nearer understanding the essence of a prayer. I know what it is, obviously- and why…but I couldn’t find the words to bring it to life. (I’ll think on that one). But, I got the essence of part of its journey..
Where does a prayer go
that which escapes parted lips?
It races clouds and sails past open skies
Yet it begins on bended knee
and wraps itself around a sigh

So beautiful, that it wraps itself around a sigh. That it does.

Beautiful! Even if we don’t understand the process of prayer, we can feel it…..

There is certainly a satisfaction in saying ones prayers. It doesn’t matter whether the words or recitation are faulty so long as the meaning and sincerity are there. Beautifully written Vivian.

Just shows how much the human factor has rendered it an imbalance spoiling the natural way things are!

Once prayers begin, do they have an end?

So beautifully put. “….it begins on bended knee” Love this image of surrender.
