Did you hear of the hare
that survived in the wild without
having sharp teeth?
It confounded the skeptics even more with its little feet
and baffled them ‘cos it’s manner was mild
So- maybe we could all learn from this hare
(to be cunning)
and learn to survive in the wild

Rabbits are great survivors. they have sharp teeth and long claws. They only look mild. And you hit on the nose, they are cunning.

(whispering)- I forgot they had sharp teeth etc- I was thinking of them in relation to larger predators. Thank you 🙂

It’s okay. If you have ever seen two bucks fighting over a doe or superiority, it can be pretty vicious. Now they are smaller and comparatively helpless

Love the title, and whispered Gone Tomorrow in response. Smiles. I empathize with the hare’s dilemma, having incisor problems of my own. Loved this poem.

The key to survival is fast reproduction.. not sure that’s the way ahead for man, though, rather the opposite!
I like your description of the mild hare and the interesting question you have posed.
