Happy International Women’s Day!
I am Woman
hear me tell you tales
of joy and sorrow
Hear me counsel
kings and queens of tomorrowHear me scream
nations into being
Watch me suckle
soldiers of the futureI give birth to Men
and wipe away their tears
Tuck them in at night
to wit-allay all their fearsI am Woman
made from one rib
imbued with power
from just that one boneI am Mum, Sis, Aunty
daughter and in-law
Keep me calm
for I am Woman
Do NOT make me roar

Happy International Woman’s Day Vivian. I love this so much…do NOT make me roar….It is sad to me that there is even a Woman’s Day. Every day should be Woman’s Day. We grow babies, fight wars, run countries but yet, men still have the upper hand. They don’t need a special day. Every day is man’s day.

Happy International Woman’s Day to you too. I know what you mean…and I’d like to believe that as we become more aware, it’ll be our daughters and grand-daughters, who will even the score.

I thought that too years ago. But…it’s up to the young women to make a difference and for us as older women to stand up for them.

I love the play on I am woman, Happy International Women’s day to you. XXX It actually made me thing of Queen Elizabeth 1, so many of the decisions she made were to ensure that she kept her nation safe. Love to you. XXX

That’s it! Women with all their strengths but lovingly the weaker sex! Don’t mess around with such strengths contending.
