Step! Two, three and again
step two! Now – turn around
and
voice receding –
centrifugal distant tracking
rhythm raises
drum beat
light deepening
feet shuffling
the dead move stiffly
to the conductor’s rhythm
Afterlife dances
step three!
bones creak
even the dead
enjoy thriller night!

The dance of the afterlife! Vivian, this is spectacular! The feel is both eerie and jubilant at once. Marvelous writing. So glad you have joined in!

I’m hearing shades of MJ and Vincent narrating. Ah, well… a dark turn across the floor. Wickedly cunning!
