From this vantage point

I guard my garden

It’s fence is still secure

….without breach or break

and my courage tree is fruiting rather well

Those smaller plants that hum

and sing to each other are relieved

the weeds are gone

There’s still excited chatter about

the jackal that snuck in last night

He woke me up, chanting,

“Your tree is dead!

Your courage is gone!”

Almost… did I fall for it!

Ate him on the spot.

So, I keep watch for intruders

Daily

Who dare to challenge my nature

and my crown

They’re all ‘lunch’ to me
