I search for truth….
under a mountain of words
so densely packed as to shut daylight out
so precariously perched…. and
as unsteady as the weaving drunk
-as though resting
on a foundation more of sand
than of rock

The image of lies as ‘unsteady as the weaving drunk -as though resting’ is particularly potent, Viv! 💝

Hard to separate the facts from the fiction these days.

A foundation of sand, indeed. Why do we put up with it?

Sands shift
twisting the truth
versions multiply,
drift, disintegrate, discolor

That sense of instability and being overwhelmed reverberates in this.

May we carry our own light, so that the darkness of that mountain doesn’t bury us. It seems that there is so much of it these days, that we can barely see or hear. But it’s always good to remember, that they don’t have a steady foundation to stand on.

Sifting through on shifting sand I think–scary times–stay calm and we will get through it

Truth is relative and needs to be flexible if it is to survive. Like a skyscraper in Japan, its foundation needs to have some give to it. At the same time the truth is the truth for the truthseeker. How’s that for a paradox?

You’ve been listening to our president again! Taking quiet time to listen to our inner voice is apt to help us find the truth. Great write.

Truth and trust must go hand in hand otherwise I would listen with doubtful ears. It is far better to be suspicious than to trust blindly Vivian, as i am sure you know..

I like the comparison to the weaving drunk. We were on the same theme, I wasn’t thinking of the tipsy though.
