Faith…so small
barely seen
a grain of sand
or a mustard seed
But
It’s enough
…..to climb Everest
(or get out of bed)
…..to swim across oceans
(or simply make it through the day)
…..to beat the darkness
(and hold a hand of any colour)
…..to part an ocean of doubts
…..to put a smile on your heartEVEN with the devil on your back

How beautiful juxtaposition between the mundane small and the momentous.

Thank you! We need faith even to place one foot in from of the other… sigh! I may have strayed from the theme.

The theme you chose could apply to many black poets and artists; I liked the boldness and creativity of your piece, its authenticity screams out.

Very spiritual and life-affirming, Vivian. I like the young people in the video speaking their hearts. They may be able to show us a way out of this mess humans find themselves in with their faith.

this is the goal worthy of pursuit!

I agree with Glenn,. Viv – this is a bold piece. I like the contrast between ‘a grain of sand / or a mustard seed’ and climbing Everest and swimming across oceans.

I love the message of hope in this… if we just believe in humans we can bridge every distance.

Beautiful, in its brevity and thematic elegance! That “It’s enough” works so well to provide comfort and hope. 🙂
