Fish tears have created a haven for me
as I await my fate at the bottom of the deep blue sea
where salt caresses my skin
and silence has new meaning
devoid of churning
bursting with tranquility
as sensations are buoyed
by the ebb and flow of
a current
of poems

That is the problem with my poetry as it ebbs and flows with a turbulent tide within my brain! Your line ‘bursting with tranquility’ is great as who knows when the sea will do something surprising? Now I am going to worry about those fish crying!

The sea must be full of fish tears, Viv, and potential poems that ebb and flow! Lovely!

It’s nice the fish care enough to be concerned about his plight and he’s found a home with them. Sometimes all we need is for someone to share our sorrow so it can feel a little lighter to bear.

My first reaction is a sadness of a soul belonging to the sea depths but I feel the connection to the “ebb and flow of a current of poems.” The heavy sea of our circumstances may overwhelm us but if we allow ourselves to go with the current, think of the poems that one could write. Thank you for allowing me this thought, Vivian.

“Fish tears” conveys such a striking image. I can practically see that “current of poems” finding their way to us, through fish tear waves.

Another “If I wanna die here’s how I’ll do it” revelations. A mean spell of weather puts our dreams this way.
