Can bitter words poison the bearer?
Do sweet words nourish?
Is a silence that is no longer quiet
filled with the acrid taste regret?
At any given time
on any given day
there is flavour to be found in
every facet of life
-from the stories we tell ourselves
to the tales we want others to hear

it is interesting to consider foods and personality traits in the same way…bitterness and sourness, were both traits I have known from family experiences…no longer favourites on my menu!!

Oh, yes, the taste stays with us whether we originate it or find it coming at us. I’m still reading this again and again for all the places it takes me.

Beautifully written and I love “At any given time on any given day there is flavour to be found in every facet of life”
So true and tasteful

We are of course blind to the range and beauty of life. Humans are very faulty race we have the ability but not the sense to love and prosper but we think only competition and hurt we can impose on others. In think we all have faulty brains and eyes that can see properly. Just as well there a few poets with sense!

I love this take on flavour and nourishment, and all the ways we might feed or poison our souls.
