Where do we go from here
….flexing nuclear warheads
in a “mine is bigger than yours” fashion?
Has memory stolen Hiroshima?
Has forgetfulness erased Chernobyl?
It’s no wonder that in this zeitgeist
of social media posturing and flexing with all that is not wisdom….
It’s no wonder images of mushroom clouds, orange skies,
and skin that hang from fluorescent bones….
It’s no wonder all seems like science fiction
Where do we go from here, indeed?
