I’m trying a pantoum poem…for the second time in my life- and a great challenge it was. I’ve carried on with the theme of the power of ink… with a dash of the ‘Trumpster” to spice things up a bit.
Whether a droplet or a river
ink vibrates with life
with every letter in every corner
through both peace and strifeInk vibrates with life
as we watch stories unfold
through both peace and strife
with no tale left untoldas we watch stories unfold
hearing men’s hearts in tweets
with no tale left untold
taking in the sour with the sweethearing men’s hearts in tweets
with every letter in every corner
taking in the sour with the sweet
whether a droplet or a river

lovely V! the tweets and the sweets are like a metaphor for the other, and using a real life situation makes this all the more relatable. the power of the written word, like a droplet or a river – love that!

Those first two lines are certainly vibrating with life! “hearing men’s hearts in tweets” with a river of sour. such an apt descriptor!

This was cool Vivian, and I liked the way you carried the contrast of extremes through the piece… sour/sweet, droplet/river… nicely done!

Words do seem to take on their own lives these days. This has a nice rhythm and well as thoughtful words. (K)

Certainly adds to the Trumpster or tweetster type of trickster! Clever and weaves together well!

I think Pantoums work better with shorter lines, |Viv, as yours has proved. I like those droplets and rivers of ink – a poet’s life blood!
