Jeffrey looked anxiously behind him. Scott wasn’t there! “Scott! ” he whispered fiercely in the dark. No answer.
Trying to keep his pulse and his steps steady, Jeffrey strode purposefully across the garden and eased himself through the gate. He stole one last glance at the house, fervently hoping Scott was alright.
That’s when he saw him. Scott was on his knees; meticulously taping together the glass door they’d just cracked! Jeffrey’s eyes bulged in disbelief.
Making a snap decision, he secured his loot firmly in his backpack and headed off at a fast trot- still incredulous.
A thief with OCD? For goodness sake!

Great take. Second thoughts? Honest thief? I guess Scott might have had a “good education” and might have been bullied into this by Sheffrey. Is that so?

Thanks Frankie! I’ve come to learn that anything’s possible in a 100-word story…so I’ll agree with you on any scenario 🙂 🙂

Oh, I can’t help feeling sorry for Scott even if he is a thief. Abandoned by his partner in crime… fun story.

And to fix it will cost an arm and a leg so I am looking for a replacement… problem is, all the doors match so I’m looking for one that comes close-ish

Wow! Nice ending – a thief with OCD. Wonder how come he has never been caught?

I wonder that too! Unfortunately, I’m only allowed 100 words- which seem to raise more questions than answers
