There’s nothing like fiery passion to fuel dreams. It pays to write down your dreams and your goals – constantly revisiting them until a fire is lit. I find it opens the mind’s eye to the bigger picture. There’s nothing else like it.
Another day is born
another 24 hours is promised
…..but not guaranteed
Is there a flowery tongue
to describe my mission in this life?Is there any way to convey that I can see in the dark and cradle flames in my dreams?
These are what propel me to fulfil my purpose
and execute my dreams
I have time only for that which adds
peace, purpose and kindness to lifeWhat about you?
How much more time were you promised?

Indeed… but if we only do what we are passionate about we might turn to ash… maybe we need to wind down every now and then

That line break makes me wonder about how frequently we execute our dreams, in a less positive way.

It’s so important to remain aware of our mission in life–and to recall it each morning lends a fiery purpose to each moment. You go, girl!

Promises can be cheap. Time can be a trickster. None of us who choose to live in the Now can plan life more than one breath at a time

Fire and passion, to fuel the dreams, to spur us on, to push us when we are flagging …. and yet, as Bjorn also noted, it can also be equally blindsiding and destructive, detrimental too … so I suspect it’s about finding the right balance. And I think this poem is self-contained …. just the right amount accelerant to spark the dreams into reality. And who knows how much time anyone has indeed?

Peace, purpose and kindness are great tenets in life Vivian but unlike a day job they should stay with us to the end. As for promised time; I am working overtime at the moment!

I really like the way you are building a fire under your dreams and goals by revisiting them. Realizing them doesn’t just happen, it takes dedication and the flame of which you speak. Very inspiring and I love the graphic you chose for it ❤

Oh how we should pour ourselves into that which stirs passion…. What good is a promise if we don’t plunge ourselves into its fulfillment?
