Step after step
as I walk on the earth
Hard, soft, wet or dryIt’s still the same and I can’t fathom
that one day I’ll return to it
I banish the thoughtand focus on the sun’s warmth
and the essence of ‘now’

That’s a good reason to focus on now.

Am basking on the sun’s warmth now as its the last days of summer. Focusing on the here and now, is good perspective.

As I am getting older I often think of the time I return to the earth…better as you write to banish the thought for now…nice poem

Hold that thought, Viv:
‘…focus on the sun’s warmth
and the essence of ‘now’’.
It’s amazing to think that there are readers of your poem across the world doing just that!

The “essence of now” keeps us going after all. A self-reflective write. Well-penned.

Even when the “now” is turbulent, we are glad and thankful for each day and moment that comes our way.

Yes the now is better than soil… we know where it will end, but we don’t need to think about it.

Yes, probably best to stay in the “now”…it is said, “we can’t imagine when we were not, or when we will not be”…If we can’t, then we probably shouldn’t…all will take care of itself. xoxoxo
