Reading from the same page
that was how it was always meant to be
in her visions and rose-tinted dreamsbut he moved to new chapter
and when she turned…it was to a blank page
…..so the book was shut …forever

This is so sad, he turns the page and instead of happiness there is blankness.

So sad. That’s the trouble when we are co-writers – better writing solo and reading each others’ books!

Very sad when the book is slammed shut, never to be reopened. But perhaps a new book will begin and will be the best one of all!

Vivian, congrats on the beautiful new book. It looks wonderful. It is sad when one wants to stay on the same page together, and the other starts a new chapter. Sigh.

Some books need closing. The shutting might hurt–even rip a heart to pieces–but it allows the reader to start a new book, a better book. It might even inspire her to write her own.

It’s hard when a book comes to such an abrupt end. But my thoughts run along the same lines as Magaly’s. Better stories can be found, or written if need be.

Sometimes staying within a certain chapter is a good thing – I love this metaphor.

You have beautifully articulated – what is for many – a life passage they have been through, in a lovely metaphorical expression of ‘endings’.

Unrequited love is often part of my dreaming. Sad, but dreams are a wonderful way to work on that kind of loss.

To be on the same page is ideal. If a break happens, however, it’s great to be able to close the book. I doubt the one who simply went to another chapter will have an easy time of it! How much better to find the blank page.

Strange—and devastating—how life works out sometimes. What we hope for half-materializes, and then vanishes before our eyes…
