“Just beyond the bruised lips of consciousness.”
from Birds Again
~ Jim Harrison
We try to choose the fonts
of prayers that spew
beyond bruised lips
-to see which format will
be acceptable as an offering
(blindfolding consciousness)
-all the while forgetting the needful-failing to delete poor memory banks
-allowing viruses run free
-running inappropriate programs
-and leaving soul-trash un-emptiedSo… uploaded prayers
while appearing wonderful
always hit the firewall
-and all this because
we forget to do the needful

I love the mix of body with computer terms and thinking about choosing the fonts that leave our lips and the prayers we will upload.

Love the idea of getting rid of soul trash. If ONLY there were just a simple button to push ‘delete’ and it would all go away!

So many emotions came through computers these day… so it’s only natural we have to think in terms of those. Love it

A friend is constantly berating me about the time I DON’T spend tending to computer maintenance. She’d agree wholeheartedly that a little bit of soul in happy font does not make up for a multitude of neglect. And as allegory, this is very powerful.

We can’t expect our lives to be perfect as we get nowhere without trial and error in whatever field we engage in whether it be work, love or even where we live. That is our quality to adapt and learn from our mistakes. Your posts are always challenging Vivian…much like drawing teeth!
