“So I sit on the edge, wagging my feet above the abyss”
~ Jim Harrison
from Bridge / Dead Man’s Float
How naughty would it be of me
to weaponize my poetry?
-picking a target
getting them in my cross-hairs
and PFFFT!
taking them out with my words
or CRASH!
-scribble something…..then make a dash?
It’s just a thought
-never ever to be
but naughty musings pop up
now and then
teasing and tempting me!

Lol! There’s that feeling of having power and knowing that you choose not to use it 🙂

Ha! Some might think poetry might be the ultimate weapon–but of course, it’s the kind of thing where, if your target can’t understand, it may not actually make it bleed enough.(Just thinking of the orange target I would prefer…) This is sharp as the proverbial arrow and has a solid bite, despite the whimsy. Thanks for kicking off the 55, Vivian, and please let there be some additional kicking, of the weekend’s ass.

Weaponized poetry would be a formidable resource, but… most of the people that need a good piercing tend to never notice anyway. So, no sense in wasting one’s time (and delicious words) in lost causes. Best use them for better things. But yes, it’s very tempting. 😀

I do it all the time. Not sure if it makes it worse or better when the target doesn’t connect the dots.

( howling laughter)….I used the same expression once when talking about this. Still, I suppose you can write things out of your system.

I think we all have those naughty musings from time to time and use our words as weapons. Nicely done Vivian!

Love this! So well done, Vivian.
Go for it! 🙂
(I’m reading a novel about Ada Lovelace, Byron’s daughter, and Byron definitely targeted her mother, his wife in his poetry.)

You’ve outdone yourself once again! In fact, I nominated you for the Liebster Award… I really enjoy your poetry and I believe others will too. Check out the guidelines in my blog post: https://poeticaparadisum.wordpress.com/2018/06/09/the-liebster-award/
