Walking my mind in the park
I whisper to her to behave
not to stray too far…or people will stare
She sniffs inspiration in a hedge
and tugs insistently on her leash
‘keep it quiet’, I whisper
and she’s off!
I watch her chase dreams and images
She returns grinning
and with swagger to boot!

I love the images here! Very fresh and saucy, and if you slaved over it, to the reader it nonetheless feels smooth and effortlessly rolls along. Thanks so much for adding to the fun today, Vivian, and please have a kickass weekend.

What an amazing picture! And the poem is one I can relate to, for sure. Ever seen the tv ad where the woman’s bladder–with a face on it, yet–tugs her hither and yon? With me it would be my mind, just likein this poem.
55’s demand attention to every word, and because of that, often result in really good writing. IMO.

Coolness. My mind often slips the leash and runs hither and yon. I’m like, after the first couple of times, why bother. Let her run wild and free.
