If I could live again
I’d trade my tears
for perfect laughter
I’d negotiate for peace
at every turn
I’d barter my transgressions
for flames of glory
I’d strike a deal
with Charon himself
I’d pay a huge ransom
-to live again
-to create a new story

In Greek mythology, Charon or Kharon is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead.
