Don’t let life hammer
you into blind acceptance
Question everything
Don’t be mesmerised by ‘things’
they add nothing to your lifeRather, be moulded
by noble thoughts and goodwill
By kindness to all
By fanning flames of passion
And stomping to your own beat

Being an afficiando of Jazz in my teens (and still clinging on) I certainly agree with the “stomp of your own beat.”

I like the idea of noble thoughts and goodwill! Something to strive for!!
And, ah, we each DO need to stomp to our own beat.

I like the word choice of “stomping”. It is purposeful, unambiguous and makes everyone who sees it know the person is committed to their movement.

Your own beat… I like that. If only we could, but we have those conductors who insists we should follow his tune

Wise words. Being motivated by kindness, and staying true to one’s own beat is very sound advice.
