A view of the oceanreminds me of relationshipsI watch the rocks eitherbeing kissed by the watersever so gentlyagain and againOr the rocks being poundedinto a form of submissionby an insistent oceanever so violentlyagain and againThe rocks never moveThe ocean never gives upAnd yet…the rocks erode …over timeThere’s a lesson in there somewhereI’ll ponder it later…maybe in a poemI carry on with my walk underthe hot summer sunleaving rock and oceanrelationships behind me.

There is definitely a lesson there. I’ll ponder too. Thank you for the inspiration.😘

Wow! A wise choice to let that instant recognition drift away in passing. We know this in our bones, being the earth and rocks the ocean of relationship acts on. I love this poem.

The rocks seem to take it, without a word. Loved your poem.

I guess most loves involve kisses and blows (of one form or other). I like this poem so much for its pensive observation. The ending is superb.

Nature is a great source of inspiration for poetry, isn’t it? I love what you’ve done with the kisses and crashes in this poem.

Never give up; It is strange isn’t it that inanimate things like the sea and rocks can teach us a lesson…many lessons in fact. In turn we should do the same and be great examples to others particularly our own children. What a great poem this is Vivian.

I like that it seems like a diary entry in some ways. Which brings it back to being a good poem.

It’s wonderful where our mind wanders when we set it free to consider the world about us … like ocean and rocks! I enjoyed the read.
