What do I see in my bed?
little worries gathered by my head
they cloud on pillows
their groans- eerie billowsdetermined to fill me with dread
I plead for all to leave
Alas, unto me they cleavedetermined to fill me with dread

Lillian hosts dVerse tonight with a call to use the word: ‘Gather’ in a quadrille (44 words).

Loving this line! “their groans- eerie billows”
Nothing (well I’m sure there’s something…and probably more than one something) as frustrating as insomnia. Thoughts churning…can’t shut the brain off. Been there – ugh!
Glad you posted….here’s to gathering and counting sheep jumping softly through our heads until the monotony brings on the zzzzzzs 🙂

Yes, few worse things….but insomnia is absolutely annoying. Thanks Lillian.

Riveting rhymes, Vivian! And how I relate–seeing as I slept only three hours yesterday while lying in bed for eight! LOL!

Bad dreams will somehow hog our minds even in good times. A natural thing perhaps!
