thought
she’d found
her soul mate
Little did she know
-at the end of her rainbow dreams
-at her passion’s peak
that his quest
carried

Gah! Those “questers” break a lot of hearts. Always on to the next conquest. I know the heartbreak they leave behind.

“little did she know”, so sad when love is lost, we invest so much of ourselves in it. A poignant write. 🙂

I really like the way you’ve crafted your poem into a diamond shape, for me this is relevant and fits in with the theme of love, all be it a little sad / disappointing for the lady concerned. Most enjoyable read.

By the way my kids called me “dippy” I never understood why? Until they understood “humility”. They still call me “Dippy” “Rickie”, “Dickie” “Chico”, and “Hey Pop”. I still answer to all of them. hehehe…
