Smell The Coffee

I whisper the names of  my streets
So shy am I, if I could, I’d turn beet
On my way home, I skip down

but hesitate at the turn off to

So shy am I, I stare at my feet….
….where was I? Oh yes, directions!
I decide to use

as this will bring me quickly to

I never try using

That would take be back to square one!
I studiously avoid

-what’s with the silly smiles here anyway?
Finally, I’ve arrived home
-on my street that’s good and decent
-even though it goes by the name of 

Make of it what you will
as I settle in my home town named
