When all poets – united- raised their voices as one to the heavens,
God opened his window and shouted,
“What’s That Racket!?”
Gabriel explained about the poets
“Oh,” God said, shutting his window
but not entirely- leaving it cracked open slightly
He watched the words bounce around the room
grow legs and go about their business
God nodded sagely. ..this is how he designed words
-to never return empty
but accomplish what they were sent out to do
He smiles at his poets
-watching the constant stream of words in the ether
watching them burrow into fertile minds
igniting inspiration
awakening dreams
lifting hopes
-accomplishing that which they were sent out to do

The words bouncing off God’s living room walls is humorous. I hope He likes mine as well

Very good Vivian. I like the idea of God cracking the window and listening to our words.

Just REALLY LOVE THIS!
Apologies for the late read of OLN….just returned from Bermuda yesterday to fickle spring in Boston and cold temperatures and not a crocus in sight 😦 and piles of laundry and mail. Ah, but the month of Bermudaful was worth it! 🙂 A good read to come back to. Loved it!

Welcome back Lillian! I really do appreciate your comments 😄😄. Deep breath opening the mail- avoid anything with red lettering (these are bad in the UK)…and take your time. I’m glad you had a wonderful time.
