Delilah stepped into the train station, heart pounding furiously. Her instructions were to join the throng ahead and push herself forward into the crowd. She was to act the minute the train pulled up…..but she’d changed her mind.
Delilah knew that if she disobeyed, her handlers would detonate her suicide vest remotely.
Without stopping to think, she made for the stairs -with a burst of speed – taking them two at a time to the first floor.
The view from the top was the last thing she saw before the world turned white – as the explosion shattered the empty landing.
