I’m on the verge of something great
I try to fly but problems stand on my capeI’m on the edge of an unknown precipice
So high in the sky, clouds- I almost kissIf God should push me off the side of this cliff
I’d spread my wings, without a ponder of ‘what-ifs’I’m on the verge of something great
awaiting instructions, face turned to my fate

Perhaps this is what life is… the edge of something greater that we can’t fathom… and we are waiting for life to quite stepping on our cape! Love it!

Nothing like an eager dose of pure optimism! By the way, I love the picture on your side bar of the figure with its head and book reversed.

I love that “awaiting instructions”. They will come, for certain.

We’re always on the verge of something truly great, we only need to gather enough courage to let go. Great poem.

The fear on that edge… we do need to dare in the end.

This is just fabulous, Vivian. That feeling of expectation, of being on the brink of something, and spiced with a little humour. Love it.

That’s why Edna Mode declared “No capes!” You need to leave behind anything that keeps you from flying, even if you thought it might be helpful at the start.
