If I had a remote control
I’d fast forward through life
avoiding all sorrow and drollslicing away bad mojo with a knife
cherry picking only good moments
whizzing past all manner of strifemaking my own jigsaw components
living in a world of my fantasy-grande
rearranging life pieces for my enjoymentensconced in my very own cuckoo land
it would be the one and only goal
on my terms, in my own handsAh! Would that I had a remote control

I’d like to have one of those, Vivian. You did really good with the rhyme scheme, I could tell by reading that you enjoyed writing it.
