Mayhap not as bright
as a sun drenched sky
my face pours forth
a soft glow in your shadowsmayhap not as hot
as that passionate star
my coolness bathes you
with soothing tonesmayhap not scorch to touch
as that inferno that melts
my peace I give you
in the ink of darknesssun or moon
which will it be?
dreams everlasting
my gift- the whole of me

Beautiful take on the prompt song Vivian. I think you really underline what a hard choice or dilemma this woman has put herself in. Btwn a rock and a ‘hot place.’ 😉 I don’t know who you’d pick. I don’t think anyone will be happy just having her in moonlight not just in sunlight. As you write “my gift – the whole of me,” seems like she has to give the whole of her to one of them or none of them and the sun and the moon need to give wholly to her, or not put up with her shadow.
Thanks for participating!
