Stumbling through life with two left feet
my mistakes only serve to sharpen me
they hew my spirit with agonising painregrets- there are none
only more lessons to learn
for an older, wiser me

(#Cherita)
My words are exemplified in the following song I wrote last year.
Tonight at dVerse, Amaya tasks us to write about a time we made a change in our lives for the better~ finding inspiration in the pentimento (repentance- Italian).

And I hear Edith Piaff singing along… lovely.

LOVING this post for the prompt! Oh my yes…..I only know of one individual who never made mistakes…..and that was Spock on Star Trek and he was not human! A smooth road all the way through life can also get kind of boring. 🙂

Life really is a chisel that chips away at us until we become what we are meant to be! Well done.

You really grasp the concept and have accepted the pain of being chiseled into a masterpiece. I am a ways off as I still live with some regret. Also, I need to learn what a cherita is. It seems like such a simple and elegant form.

Thank you!😊 I learnt something new with your prompt. The cherita is so easy. It’s 1, then 2, followed by 3 lines. No syllable counts or anything. Easy-peasey!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one with two left feet, Viv. No regrets, older and wiser – good on you, girl!

Turning potential regrets into practical lessons for the future seems like good advice.

You are right, learning from mistakes is valuable. I wish I could learn without them
