I love this quote by the late Maya Angelou. History is littered with the martyrdom of heroes fighting for freedom. As the saying goes, ‘you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette.’ And the fight still goes on.

The American Civil Rights Movement accomplished its goal of ending legalised racial segregation and discrimination  in the ’60’s with the loss lives, notably Martin Luther King Jnr- among the many.
Today, history bears witness to the loss of many lives in the fight against terrorism.

On an individual basis, we daily face ideologies and barriers that attempt to enslave us. The cost, should we succeed, is never small.
The price of freedom is worth paying, no matter the cost. For by this, we exercise our God-given right to live with true purpose.
