silence
the dust of stars
shining radiance

moonlight beams with joie de vivre
she reigns supreme in darkness

sounds of quiet
subdued kaleidoscope
twinkles of hope

bird’s beaks stayed shut by darkness
owls ascend to claim the night

close-drawn curtains
nature’s wonder
moon’s glow on show

mysteries of the universe
 signs of a higher power

night’s cloak
a call for sleep
regenerating earth

silence reigns throughout the land
gentle breaths the only sound

(#Soliloquy no Renga)

Chevrefeuille has challenged us to write a Soliloquy no Renga, which is a renga written by one poet, adding our own stanzas to create a “solo-renga”. A renga has two kinds of stanzas, three lined stanza and two lined stanza (as renga and Tan Renga). The Soliloquy no Renga should have at least 6 stanzas.
