Leaving behind city days with no end
taking in the scene of tranquility
searching for the pause buttonmoments wrapped in moments
suspended in pockets of time
the earth hums a beat

So lovely. It’s easy to get lost in the beauty of nature

Nice piece! I feel like by the final line the poem has found the pause button it sought.

Beautiful. I like looking for that pause moment or at least absorbing every wonderful detail to the best of our ability.

Thanks, Sascha! It’s wonderful….especially when you know it will very soon slip by…into the past.

I almost picked that photo. I like the moments wrapped in moments. Sometimes taking deeper breaths is the only alternative to finding that pause button.

I love the idea of a scene of tranquility with a pause button and the line:’the earth hums a beat’, which evokes the sounds of a perfect summer’s day.

😂😂😂😂- saying that to the dentist is likely to evoke a lecture on dentine and pulp!

I can’t imagine you ever getting angry. It’s funny but some people just come over as being easy-going and fun. Must be the photo 🙂 But it comes over in the poems too.

Very intuitive 🙂 I can count on ONE hand the number of times I’ve been angry in my life. But when I do…….oh boy! But you’re spot on… even my dog knows it… that’s why he knows he can take me for walks ( not the other way around!… sigh! ) LOL!

I love how the sunset leaves us in suspended animation, holding our breath wishing it would remain, knowing it will disappear in a moment! Just like our children!!

We must take time to enjoy those moments. This spoke volumes-searching for the pause button
moments wrapped in moments, but we still need to take the time to notice them or before we know it they have vanished in a blur…or a blink of the eye.

“moments wrapped in moments”–I was just thinking that the photos look like captured pauses. Those words express exactly that feeling. (K)
