Winter’s breeze whistles
Gently reaching through cracks
Longing to stroke meGently reaching through cracks
Gaining unwanted entry
Ice fingers trace skinLonging to stroke me
Wrapping me in cold embrace
Delights as frost bites
(#Troiku)

That last line gave ma terrified little shiver, with its flesh-biting (not funny at all when you look at it) humor… my favorite kind. 🙂

perfectly wonderfully captured in the essence, and the form, the troiku, just reinforces it – and now, I have shivers – late fall/winter sneaking in shivers!

Your ending is chilling. I don’t like winter and I will be driving from Houston right into it next week. I will avoid winter’s frostbite.
