This
vase was
made with care
A delicate pattern of pink
bougainvillea snake from its
base to it’s elegant neck. This vase
holds oceans of love, galaxies of hope and a nebula of faith. This vase was made to withstand only the pressure that love brings. Crack it and slowly
so slowly, it will leak. This vase
is me and I am this vase.
Crack it and slowly
so slowly
Love
Depletes

The ending of this…wow. The poem starts out so delicately and ends so powerfully. a lot of feeling in this poem and makes me want to know the whole story.

O now… don’t let a vase like that crack… it needs to stay whole and wholesome 🙂

One has to be careful not to crack the vases. I liked this phrase: “galaxies of hope and a nebula of faith”

A pretty vase and the poem has a great shape – but what a sad ending, Viiv.

I can almost read the unwritten command: “No leaks allowed here, love at work”.

A lovely image – (and looks sooo much better on your site than on WordPress reader) – and carried so well through the verse – why anyone would crack such a beautiful vase is beyond me 🙂

My goodness, a beautiful and sad shape poem that is both metaphor an message; as a poem it is magnificent–as a message, we can only hope it will/can be heeded. I love the vase as metaphor for you, rather than a classic coke bottle.

I like the ending of this poem, a strong deeper meaning. That it’s shaped like a vase is cute!
