Knock! knock! then knocking some more
Who’s that knocking on my door?
It’s the night of the dead
A night I intensely dread
It’s trick or treating-I muse
Or maybe another ruse
I open the door- nobody’s there
Just a monkeys paw
Covered with hair
I pick up the paw with ire and fear
Take it inside and toss it in my store
A fleeting thought, a sincere wish
The silly-billy that dropped it
ought to be dead
Knock! knock! and knocking some more
Fear blooms anew
Who’s that knocking in my store?
