In the last 12 months I’ve had reason to marvel at the kindness of human nature. I’ve received gifts on behalf of my children and a new wardrobe to boot. The first of these surprises was an email from a relative instructing me to collect a moneygram payment! Two further similar incidents occurred – totally unbidden. The most recent one was having a sizeable wardrobe bestowed on me- so much so in fact that I had to share the clothes with others!
There have been numerous acts of kindness from unexpected sources. It’s restored my faith in humankind. It’s taught me to pay it foward; kindness and love is all that matters.

You’ve reminded me of that saying about having too much food – build a bigger table! Love that you shared the gifts with others.

I agree, this is the stuff of kindness. It is cool as well to be able to give out of the overflow of the kindness that has been done for you. Like in the case of the wardrobe. I travel overseas for humanitarian efforts in the summers when I am off work — and most of it is funded by the generous giving of others that believe in my work. This last summer was the first year I had a surplus and so I was able to bless my brother who went with me, and help him save on costs. It was cool.
