(#Sedoka)
Footsteps that echo
Walking slow towards the light
Memories in frantic search
………..
Of deeds wrong and right
Resigned to a fate now sealed
Facing judgement of his life

The Sedoka is an unrhymed poem made up of two three-line katauta with the following syllable counts: 5/7/7, 5/7/7. A Sedoka, pair of katauta as a single poem, may address the same subject from differing perspectives.

The prompt will be fully explained in the pub but all you need to know really is that it is a 44 word poem. Tonight the word for inclusion will be ‘Free’ 😉 We also run a challenge to use all the words in the series so far (tonight is Quadrille #40) in your 44 word poem.

Too complicated for me. My poems either rhyme or they don’t without having to count words, syllables or lines 🙂

With that said, I respect you and others that are so good at all the many forms of poetry. It’s just not for me 🙂

I wonder if I could entice you to try. Honestly, if it weren’t for the 2 Lindas (Wolff and Lyberg) , I wouldn’t have had the guts to try. But I understand your position 😊

Thank you Meiji, I’m honoured and it’s very very kind of you. However, I run an award-free blog and would love for this to go to someone else. Many thanks again. 😊😊
