Falling in love with her mind
Long before he sees her face
Her words, Bury within
Her reasoning, full of grace
To read her thoughts
Is as to read her soul
He follows her words
As they meander through cyber space
A sense of passion
A gentle spirit
A strong mind
Gifted with dry wit
Her words: he wanted more
He only hoped-
She wasn’t already spoken for

Vivian, I always end up on your page and not scrolling on by. I think I might have mentioned before, I’m not a big poetry person, but I think poems like yours (and a few others I come across) are making me change my mind a bit. I feel I understand them, and then it makes me explore my “poet” side, which is infantile and just for fun. I think your site is the one I usually comment on the clip art you find, as well. Good job. And again, superb clip art.

OH Sandi! I’m so glad you like it. When I write like this- it’s almost like a ‘note to self’- so when i go back- i get the message loud and clear (and quickly) 🙂

Sometimes, we are writing to ourselves. Aren’t we journaling? These stories I write, help me remember my kids youth. As we age, we forget so many things. I want to remember stories about our family. My marriage. The thoughts I had. Some stories are embellished a bit, to make it more interesting read, but they will trigger the real stories. And for the most part, we are very comical in my house…most is real true life stuff. I want to remember and make friends along the journey.
