I longed for the grass
On the other side
It called out to me
From it
I couldn’t hide
Time and again
I’d steal over there
Lie on the grass
And bask in the green
This was so lovely
Whatever could it mean?
So
I planted some seeds
On a Portion of land
My life in my hands
And started to plan
Daily I’d sneak over
With a watering can
When it was time
Crossed over the line
My grass was greener
That it ever had been
So that’s the secret
Of having your cake
You only get to eat it
If you learn to bake

Very Poetic, not just cuz it’s a poem, it flows very nicely.

Geez Vivian you’ve mastered the art of double entendre so many ways to look at this wonderful piece, this is upper level writing 💙
