I had a dream

About the Man from Galilee

He showed up unbidden

Nearly hidden

Almost unseen

He said he’d been waiting

All this time waiting

Just for me

I asked for more time

There was more to do

I hadn’t quite finished

I had riches to pursue

Wrongs to undo

Good times to be had

But nothing too bad

Issues to attend

Money to spend

Friendships to mend

And life to re-do

He said he wouldn’t tarry

That I’d better hurry

That He was telling me straight

That it WAS time to worry

Because the next time I saw Him

It would be

Too late
