My kids and I gather around the remains
They could picture the pulsing in my brain

How did this happen? I asked

They looked askance at each other, shamefully unmasked

“Zeus took a wee nearby”

That was the reply

Me, an Avid mac user

Frown at my dear love’s abuser

I glare at Zeus with disdain

He gazes back at me, doesn’t complain

That Mac was my life! I cry

He bows his head and utters a little sigh

As I cradle the dead Mac in my arms

Zeus struts past me, with no qualms

He’s oblivious to all the trouble and strife

Just another day in a dog’s life
